Privacy
The extension
Your guides, screenshots, step text and branding are stored locally in your browser (IndexedDB and chrome.storage). They are never uploaded.
When you activate a Pro licence, the extension sends the licence key to stepsheet.kramartech.com to check it. It re-checks about once a week.
The extension sends anonymous usage counts to PostHog (EU): installed, recording started, guide exported (with the format: html, pdf, markdown or agent) and Pro activated. Each event carries a random install ID and the extension version. No names, emails, page addresses, page content or screenshots are sent. You can switch this off in the extension popup under Settings → Send anonymous usage counts.
This website
The site uses PostHog (EU) to count page views and button clicks, without cookies or browser storage. Payments are handled by Stripe; Stripe receives your payment and billing details, and we keep the licence key on your Stripe customer record.
